| Skills by Numbers 8. | HOW TO LINE A CAKE TIN. | |
| Method: | ||
| 1. | 1. Draw a circle around the tin onto some greaseproof paper. Cut this circle out. |

||
| 2. | Grease your cake tin with some butter. |
|
||
| 3. | Place the circle of greaseproof paper in the bottom or the tin. | |||
| 4. | Cut a strip of paper a bit thicker than the height of the tin and long enough to go around the tin. |
|
||
| 5. | Stand this up in the tin and push it against the sides. It should stick to the butter. It does not matter if it overlaps a little. If it is too high, cut to height with scissors as illustrated. |

||
| 6. | Your tin is now ready for the cake mix, well done! |
