Skills by Numbers 13. HOW TO MAKE A PANCAKE.
  Method:
    1. Start by making your mix. I use 125g flour, 1 large egg, mixed together with 300ml of milk. I beat this together and let it rest in the fridge for an hour.

    2. If I am making sweet pancakes, I will add a dessertspoon of sugar. If I am making savoury pancakes, I will add a teaspoon of herbs de provence and a pinch of salt and pepper.

    3. Heat a non-stick pan with a small knob of butter in.

    4. Pour a small amount of mixture in, tilting the pan in several directions so that it covers the bottom of the pan.

    5. Cook until the bottom of the pancake loosens from the pan

    6. Flip the pancake, allow the bottom to brown and serve.

    7. Remember to have a hot buttered pan and don’t put in too much mix or you will be left with a stodgy mess.
